- Ouais. Le feu d'artifice, ouais. Hmm.
- Et qu'est-ce qui se passe à Paris, le 14 juillet?
- Ben la fête aussi. Les feux d'artifice aussi. Puis évidemment le... Comment on appelle?
- Défilé...
- Le défilé du 14 juillet sur les Champs-Elysées. Auquel j'ai participé, moi.
- En quelle année? Tu te rappelles?
- C'était la dernière année du quinquennat à de Gaulle. Tu te rends compte? Ça remonte loin. C'était en mille...
- 968
- Non, non, c'était... Oui, en 1968, quoi.
- Ah oui.
- Voilà. J'ai défilé en 1968.
- D'accord.
- C'était pas un quinquennat, d'ailleurs, parce que, à l'époque, c'était six ans*, hein.
- Septennat.
- Septennat, oui.

NOTE: He meant seven years. A septennat is a duration of seven years, and between 1958 and 2002, it was the length of the presidential term in France.
