Want to be a flight attendant?

February 21st, 2008 · 7 Comments

I honestly hate Delta Airlines because they left me stranded in Kentucky a few summers ago and wouldn’t pay for my hotel, but if you speak French and want to be a flight attendant, they are desperate for you! Delta is a part of the Sky Team Alliance, so it’s partnered with Northwest, Air France, KLM, Continental, Alitalia, Czech Airlines, etc.

Delta is greatly expanding international service in the spring of 2008, and French speakers are needed IMMEDIATELY. No other experience is necessary, all training is provided, and the position comes with extensive worldwide travel privileges everywhere Delta flies.

All French-speaking candidates will be fast-tracked, so please begin the process by going to the following web site:
https://delta.greatjob.net/jobs/EntryServlet?job=AFJDA&media=MRQ

If you are interested, please follow the instructions to begin the application process. We are in the last week of recruiting French speakers, so we will need you to begin immediately if you are interested.

ah! i’ve wanted to be a flight attendant ever since i saw “view from the top” (though i recognize it’s super ridiculousness and don’t actually think my life would be like that). i wonder if they’ll still need people in summer, once teaching is over . . .

    Sounds like a sweet deal!

But I like being a teacher best :$

I seriously considered becoming a flight attendant a few years back — or make that probably something like 10 years now, I’m getting old after all!! — but then I gave up on it when I realized that I’m probably not “sturdy” enough, so to speak, to deal with flying like that all the time. The slightest thing, allergy-wise or illness-wise, seems to set me off (I’m such a wimp!), so I just don’t know if I could handle being a flight attendant… But I’ve always thought that it could be a kind of cool job! And all those travel advantages… Very tempting!

haha I had a friend ask me the same thing about two weeks ago… who knows if nothing else comes up why not :)

Anyways, you’re getting really lucky in Annecy right now! I’m staying with my dad for the weekend and the weather is GORGEOUS right now. Much better than the last time I saw him in December!

Thanks for the link Jennie! I applied just for fun. You have to love any job where before asking about my drug or criminal background they asked whether or not I would be willing to serve peanuts, beef or pork. Too funny!

    Hey there,
on the topic of bi-lingual flight attendants, does anyone know what the language test/requirements are like? Has anyone sat one of the language tests to be a bi-lingual flight attendant? I really want to do it, but I’m pretty nervous about taking a language test!
    Merci!
