(Almost) Ready for Christmas

November 30th, 2008 · View Comments

Christmas decorations are up.  Presents have been bought. Cards have been sent. Music is playing nonstop. We’re getting a real tree this week. Vacation starts in 3 weeks. I am so ready for Christmas.

Now where is my snow???

My doigts are croisĂ©s that it will look like this in Annecy, but somehow I don’t think that’s going to happen.

Oh well, there’s always next year when I (hopefully) go back to Michigan…

Even in Canada, we barely have snow. Nothing like last year, for sure.

  • Normally I'm such a grinch about Christmas time (that whole Jewish thing) but I really miss all of the lights and the music and the Santas here. Did you see that it's already snowed like eight times in Michigan this year? I'm hoping they'll send some to us!

It's a little foreign here too-60 degrees, no pumkin pies, and this substitute for stuffing called "dressing" cooked outside of the bird! But at least there was a bird. Sorry you had to miss another Thanksgiving.
  • There was snow in Metz last week, I was so excited, it was so pretty!! (Though driving it in was not so fun.) Did Annecy not get any of that storm? Hopefully there's some more coming before the end of the year!
