David did another concours test today so he can find a new job. He had to use the Minitel in order to take it! The Minitel. Which was popular in the 80’s. Apparently the direction du travail has not heard of the actual internet…
Then I saw this dude on the news tonight. He’s Bernard Thibault, the secrétaire général of the CGT (Confédération Générale du Travail). I don’t think he realizes that he stole Tim Robbins haircut from 1979. At least he has the awesomest haircut of any government official!

Wow, that is one cool looking dude! I’m still getting used to men in skivvies and suit coats (I come from a very hot climate!). Funny about the minitel – although I had to google it to find out what you were talking about – I’ve never heard of it

Penny, I heard about the Minitel when I took French in high school. Most likely because out textbooks were published in the 80’s and they wanted to brag about how technologically advanced France was at that time. But yeah, there’s no need for it now thanks to the internet!
Leah, no response yet. I probably won’t know anything until after the mandatory 3 day stage next week. At least the assistant who is supposed to replace me hasn’t contacted the school yet, so she might not be coming…
