The day I always feel the most homesick is almost over.
I’m ready for Christmas season in more ways than one.
Happy Thanksgiving to those who celebrate it, and especially to those who can’t.

Hi, Jennie! Happy holidays from New York City! I’ve been following a few expat blogs, including yours, for about year. I wonder if you realize how we hopefuls, in trying to make it to France, rely on you guys for guidance and more importantly inspiration. Really, thank you for helping me get to France!
I have a quick question for you, now that I have my visa in hand and my plane ticket to Paris set for the 12th of Dec.. I’m giving myself a year to attend French classes in Tours, but after that, I’m worried about supporting myself financially. I’m 27 with a simple bachelors in Philosophy, so I’m thinking about living in France and commuting to Switzerland after my studies, since I’ll have permanent residency in France but no right to work. Do you know of anyone doing that? Can you recommend a blog, website? I’m wondering how difficult it would be to find a job teaching English at a school there.
Thank you again, Jennie, for your website. I wish you and your boyfriend all the best!!!
-Andy
