Does Michigan not have summer anymore?

I am freezing here. I don’t think it’s gotten above 80 degrees once this past week. And it’s been raining almost everyday.

Where is summer??? I was looking forward to boating on the lakes and lying in the hammock. I even bought two new swimsuits that I obviously cannot use right now. I miss real Michigan summers with heat waves in the 90s and awesome thunderstorms at night.

At least Chambéry has plenty of days in the 90s, but we don’t have a boat or a bazillion lakes all over the place there. I love the heat, but it’s more of a nuisance when I can’t go swimming and I’m stuck in a tiny apartment all day.

PS: I was reading your advice about learning languages simultaneously. since i’m learning german right now, i’ve been making an excel chart with all my vocabulary for each chapter. but then I read your comment about not letting one language dominating the other… so i’ve now added an extra column for French because it would be a shame to forget it all! so thank you for not letting me abandon my french studies

It’s true, the heat in Texas has been affreux. I was in the Lowe’s garden section today and was unable to think. San Antonio is running slowly out of water. In any case, I hope Michigan heats up for you–it would be sad to miss doing those things.

It was suddenly hearted up in Paris. This Sunday, I’ve just been chillin’ out and staying out of the heat ( yeah, you would have changed places )

The weather in Western Michigan has been hot the last week or so, but still prone to rain. I heard on the news a couple of nights ago that the apple crop will be a few weeks late due to the colder weather. They did say that the apples should be of exceptional quality since they have grown so slowly this year.
